Patience and Compassion

I believe that there can be a special relationship between human and horse and this relationship can be gained easily with patience and compassion. I enjoy working with rescued horses and demonstrating to people the development of trust within these horses. I am also interested in horse behaviour.

I use a compassion-based approach when I work with horses and when I teach. This unique technique ensures that students treat horses with complete respect and the result is a beautiful friendship between human and animal.

More to come...

Testimonial

"Angie was one of my first riding students after I became certified in 1986. She was tiny, riding and jumping on a tiny, stubborn pony even then! She was always able to get the most out of any animal, with her quiet gentle ways, and is a perfect candidate for the natural horsemanship in which she is presently wholly involved, (as well as her Rescue Farm!) Angie's dedication to Pony Club has also made her a popular leader for various group activities and teachings, and because of her own connection with the Glen Scott Pony Club in her youth, she is very knowledgeable about horse anatomy, common illnesses and lamenesses as well as general equestrian-related theory. In addition, she has a calm influence over both horses and riders alike, as I witnessed first hand in Montana when, as an adult she assisted me in giving rides to frightened Japanese exchange students who were having their first ever perch on a horse (who happened to be a frightening-for-them 17 hands high! ) Highly recommended." - Julie Johnson
